To visit Birdwood Sanctuary Estate head west from Toowoomba along the Warrego Highway.  Go past the airport by a couple of kilometres then turn right at Gowrie Junction Road.  Follow this road and then turn left at the Gowrie Junction Service Station.  Turn right into Gowrie-Lilyvale Road, then follow the signs left at Glencoe-Gowrie Road and left again into Baxters Road.  Then follow the road to the top of the plateau.
