Climate
Any place that can host a Carnival of Flowers must have a great climate.

Toowoomba and Gowrie Junction both have winters ranging from 5°C to 16°C and mild summers ranging from 17°C to 27°C. So it's cold enough to produce beautiful gardens and warm enough for happy summers.
Toowoomba is about 598 m above sea level, and Birdwood Sanctuary Estate is about the same since it is situated on a lovely level plateau, resulting in cooling breezes (and great views).

Rainfall has been lower than usual over the last few years - but where in Australia has it not. Usually the region gets well over 900mm each year.
All of this means that spring brings flowers, summers are green, autumn has golden and red leaves falling from the trees and winter has just enough nip in the air. There are very few places in Queensland that get four genuine seasons.
All in all it's a lovely place to live.
